According to the traditional view conflicts are the result of undesirable behavior of some individuals, being that the conflict is associated with anger, aggression, battle the physical and verbal violence, feelings and behaviors essentially negative and harmful to the group and the organization.
It is clear that many conflicts have negative and harmful, but this view is very superficial, limited and even inappropriate.
According to the current view, is recognized the usefulness of a degree of conflict to the vitality of organizations and groups; this because it is too large for the compatibility between people in a group, there will always be times when the thoughts, needs and aspirations of each crash - but the fact that CONFLICTS TAKE PART OF LIFE (is inevitable) DOES NOT MEAN THAT ARE DESTRUCTIVE OR HARMFUL.
Thus, innovative ideas are almost always the result of conflicting views that are shared and discussed openly. The open disagreement can provide further exploration of feelings, values, attitudes and viewpoints, encouraging individual expression and the search for better decisions and solutions.
As in life, also on businesses exists Organizational Conflict
An organization is its own structure which is the potential source of conflict because:
* People who work in an organization are integrated at different levels, depending on their performance;
* These differences in levels are much more serious as more distant from each other and are therefore less information sharing with each other, which limits or prevents communication;
* The outlook of people who are at different levels, as well as their values, interests and objectives, are not common, which is presented as a potential source of conflict;
* An organization has a structure with certain rules that seeks to require their employees;
* People who work in organizations, have been expressing some tendency for autonomy, to increase their critical thinking and show a higher professional aspirations.
For all these reasons, functional conflicts are inevitable. The different parts that constitute the organization whose interests and needs and different points of view and therefore come into conflict.
Although the conflict may seem dangerous, can bear fruit in its wake for the organization to allow those involved to change and fit. In my opinion the conflict is of the simplest ways to foster new perspectives on situations and ideas pre-established though creating a negative feeling on the players that is associated with a pejorative context. It is not easy to "discuss" ideas when there is a human tendency to create a kind of game of win / lose, the pitch and counter attack. Finally only the most receptive can discuss without raising its argument to a point where irrational logic makes little sense and end up in justrificações "Why yes."
Within groups with pre-established hierarchies becomes even more difficult to be receptive to change even when the process was requested, directly or indirectly ... it's easy to have the right to control subordinates "I can not say that I'll have to walk .." and there goes the brainstorming. Indeed, the simplest way to control a person in a group is the same subdue our idea or deleted does not fit!
In case of conflict solve it in time! What was a little thing had been able to make it an uncontrollable monster! Pretending that there is no conflict is not the worst forms of resolution. Until the conflict use an ability that we often forget .. Creativity-form Creation. How could the conflict to be a bad thing?
Because when there is always used in a minimal, reducible and we're all afraid of losing. ... In the end ... always win, because either we change our certainties or confirm our uncertainties.
